The accommodation was absolutely amazing! It had so many lovely extras like fresh bread, eggs, and milk upon arrival, along with a variety of coffee and cereals to choose from. The cottage had a shower gel and shampoo provided, making packing a breeze. It was the perfect base for exploring Mayo, and the host was incredibly helpful. The cottage itself was quaint yet modern, with beautiful original features. The bed was super comfy, and the living room/dining area was cozy and inviting. We were even able to bring our puppies along and they were warmly welcomed. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We had an amazing time at this quaint, lovingly restored cottage. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had traveled back in time but with all the modern conveniences. the cottage was spotless, with crisp white linens and Patricia, the host, had thought of everything. From the generous breakfast provisions to the toiletries, hairdryer, and even hair straighteners, Patricia's attention to detail was exceptional. She even stocked the freezer with ice lollies and drinks for our young grandchildren. It truly felt like a 5-star experience and the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in.
No negatives from this place 😊.

The cottage is a charming and well-equipped space, with a comfortable bed and cozy living room. It is conveniently located near a local Tesco supermarket, making it easy to stock up on essentials. The host provides a generous welcome pack with breakfast items and toiletries. Additionally, the cottage offers modern amenities like a TV with Netflix and a hair straightener. it is a peaceful and comfortable place to stay.
The only downside is that there is no mention of a scenic view from the cottage.

What a disappointment! the accommodation was a letdown, not at all as it was described. the so-called "lovely extras" were barely there - no bread, eggs, or milk on arrival. All we found were stale cereal and cheap coffee. the shower gel and shampoo provided were of such poor quality that we had to go out and buy our own. And the cottage itself was far from quaint - it was old and run-down with no modern touches. the original features were just a reminder of how outdated everything was.
The cottage was not up to standard and did not live up to our expectations. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

The National Museum of Ireland-Country Life is just a short drive away, perfect for a day of culture and education. I also appreciated the free private parking, because let's be honest, no one likes to pay for parking.
The lack of entertainment options in the cottage made it feel like a real party-pooper. Who needs books and DVDs when you can just stare at the walls?

Our stay at Swallows Cottage was exceptional. We got great value for our money with a well-equipped room and charming surroundings. The location was perfect, just a short drive away from town and amenities. The staff treated us with utmost care and made our stay memorable.
If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to have a wider variety in the breakfast selection.

I felt like a queen at this place! The garden, the parking, the free WiFi - all fit for royalty. And let's not forget the stunning views and the cozy seating area. Truly a memorable stay.
Well, I guess my only complaint would be that the towels were TOO fluffy and comfortable. Who needs such luxury?

My recent stay at Swallows Cottage was absolutely delightful. The cottage itself was stunning, with a beautiful interior and impeccable cleanliness. It truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts, Trish and Chris, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and even a washing machine and dryer. I especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack with essentials like eggs, milk, and bread. The location was perfect, with a Tesco supermarket just a short drive away. We also had the chance to meet a lovely lady who had been born in the house years ago, which added a special touch to our stay. I highly recommend Swallows Cottage to anyone visiting the area. It exceeded all expectations and provided us with a truly exceptional experience.
